We frequent this location because it's closest to where we live, but we absolutely LOVE Velvet Taco!! They have such a diverse and eclectic menu, it's nacho average taco place. I basically only order the Fried Paneer Taco - 1. Because I'm vegetarian and married to an Indian man so I already have an insane love for paneer and 2. Because out of all the vegetarian options they have, this one is THE BEST! The queso blanco is also amazing! It's thick, creamy and delicious. Everything a queso should be!! Heads up - it comes with Chimmichurri, heat sauce and cilantro in it BUT if those aren't your thing, you can ask them to remove them. That's what I do every single time because I'm basic and just want the cheese. Lastly, the prices are so reasonable!! And they are quick to get your taco made. Honestly, it's hard not to love this place because they've gotten it all pretty much right. You can thank me for this recommendation after you take your first bite! ;)

Just happened to pop my head in, the menu was a bit like , but everything was good and the service was fast!

I finally made it to Velvet Taco! I've heard it's one of the best places to dine for tacos and it did not disappoint! Even the kids quesadillas were DELICIOUS! The best I've had in a while! I ordered them for myself and my little girl. I also had a rotisserie chicken taco. My other daughter had a shrimp taco and a chicken taco. It was all very good. We usually go to Torchy's but I may go here more often if it weren't so far from my home! But I will be back!

My favorite velvet location! Though the lot is small, I can always find parking and make sure to say hi to the stray cat they feed. Inside you order at the register and wait for them to call your name. There's a few tables and swivel chairs lining the windows and even some outdoor seating. The main tacos are creative and delicious. They also have a weekly taco if you want to try something new

The portions was extremely generous. Food was a little on the warm side and hot not. A lot of difference combs of fusion tacos here. They stay open late.

I stopped in for tacos here after a night out. The line was moving kind of slow because they only had one cashier at the time. The tacos are always good and location had enough sitting. Definitely a great spot for tacos and vibes.

What a menu! There is something for everyone. The flavors are explosive! I tried the mexi-cali shrimp, the spicy Tikka, and the salmon. Each taco cooked to perfection. It's like I traveled the world in just a few bites. The staff was friendly and the food came out quick! There's plenty of seating. If you're like me, you like to pair a great margarita with a great taco! Trust me, try the margarita ! If you like sweets, the red velvet cake with caramel sauce!!

Incredible tasty and unique! I couldn't come to Houston and not get some tacos but these were beyond anything I could imagine! I got the brisket taco, sweet chili shrimp taco, and the salmon taco. I also got the trio of dips - guacamole, elote, and queso blanco. Everything was phenomenal! However, the brisket taco and queso blanco were my favorites. I'm so happy I stumbled across this taco spot and can't wait to visit Houston to have Velvet Taco again!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The people the food the atmosphere are fantastic. Obviously the food is what keeps you coming back and this was my first visit and if didn't disappoint. Now I see there is a closer location in the woodlands which I will be visiting shortly. I tried the rotisserie chicken and the pulled pork on this visit and both were amazing. Good news open very late as well.

This is not your typical taco place, but that is why I absolutely love it! They were ALL GOOD...But I think my favorite was the Chicken Tika taco. It's their take on the Indian flavor. The Angus burger was also good. Side Note: I DID NOT LIKE THEIR RED VELVET CAKE! Now, I'm not a big fan of it in the first place BUT I'm fair. And IT WAS HARD AND TASTED OLD. I didn't want to take a star away because of that. Lastly, THESE TACOS ARE HUGE! You can get full on just one. Honorable mention: The sweet tea was AWESOME!!!!! Go and tell them Phat Girl Foodie-nista sent you!
